Casting Your Cares

With the diagnosis of breast cancer, there comes many worries, concerns, anxieties. Will I survive this diagnosis? Who will take care of my children? Will I be able to work or continue to work? I’m I going to lose my hair? Never been bald before…will my husband still find me attractive? If I can’t work, how will I pay my bills? When I have completed treatment, will my job be there upon my return? Many worries, many cares. Understandably so!!
I remember when I got the call from my doctor…actually, it was my plastic surgeon. He had previously lead me to believe, although it was not the breast implant that he had so skillfully put in place, that if was probably just a cyst…this pea size mass I kept feeling on outer right side of my right breast. “I don’t know quite how to tell you this but you have invasive ductal carcinoma”.  I was at my desk working. Everything suddenly came to a grinding halt .. actually more like slow motion.  It was surreal. Truly I could not believe what I was hearing. My most recent mammogram, 3 months earlier, had been negative. In an instant, my world changed. And from that point forward, it would be forever changed.

What are your cares, your concerns, your worries today?

The Word of God has brought me strength and solace during these moments.

Philippians 4:6-7  says “Do not fret or have anxiety about anything but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite request) with thanksgiving; continue to make your wants known to God. And God’s peace (shall be yours, that tranquil state of the soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace) which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”

Thank you, Lord that I can bring every care, every concern, every worry to you with thanksgiving (now that’s a paradigm shift) … make my wants known to you. Your peace that surpasses all that I can possibly understand will guard my heart and mind, in Christ Jesus.

This is truly the MoBetta way, girl… giving it to God. Casting it on Him. He cares so deeply for us. For you!!

1 Peter 5:6-7  says “Therefore humble yourselves (demote, lower yourselves in your own estimation under the might hand of God, that in due time He will exalt you. Casting the whole of your care (all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.”

Dear Jesus, bless my dear friend today. You see all that she is facing today, facing tomorrow. Cause her to cast every care, every worry, every anxiety upon you because you care deeply about her, Oh God, thank you that as she cast her cares upon you with thanksgiving that you will bring her Your peace. Your peace that surpasses her understanding. Thank you for your peace guarding her heart and mind in You! Thank you Jesus! In Your Precious Name!! Amen!

Now MoBetta Girl!! Go, and conquer your world!!
